MCS supported the outreach and adoption of the Ear4U grievance mechanism for the German coffee sector, developed under the German Coffee Association, through stakeholder engagement in key producing countries.

MCS and GRAS developed a comprehensive, country- and sector-specific abstract risk analysis methodology aligned with key due diligence regulations (e.g., LkSG and EUDR).

MCS developed a solution for 4C System Users to address the need for, and the increasing demand to improve, gender equality in coffee supply chains. The 4C Gender Equality (GE) Add-On is a set of practical principles and criteria on gender equity for coffee-producing groups.
4C Services: Guidance on the Protection of Children’s Rights

MCS developed the 4C Guidance on the Protection of Children’s Rights to help 4C System Users strengthen their internal management systems through due diligence on child labor, while also supporting auditors in identifying and reporting child labor cases.
Food Security Standard with Welthungerhilfe (WHH)

MCS and WHH partnered to establish the Food Security Standard (FSS) to support agricultural supply chains with human rights due diligence (HRDD) and to verify the right to food in their supply chains.
Conservation International

This project focused on developing nationally recognized farm-to-gate GHG emission baselines for major coffee-producing countries (Brazil, Colombia, Honduras, Mexico, and Peru) based on harmonized primary data collection and recognized carbon accounting methodologies
ECOM Agroindustrial Corp. Ltd.

The ECOM Agroindustrial Corp. Ltd. project aimed to develop three GHG calculators for coffee, cocoa and cotton, which can also be used in generic supply chains. With MCS’s support, third-party CB SustainCERT externally verified the calculators.
Sucafina

This project resulted in a transparent, scalable GHG calculator to strengthen Sucafina’s climate reporting and identify emission‑reduction opportunities in the coffee supply chain.
